Why I am Running for Teton County Commissioner
Early voting is now open through November 2nd. Election Day is November 3rd.
I hope I have earned your vote for Teton County Commissioner. It is time for solutions, not politics. I care about Teton County, and I have worked hard to improve our community for years.
I am proud of what I have accomplished in my 7 years on the Teton County Planning Commission:
● New regulations for bear-proof trash cans
● Stricter regulations for building on steep slopes, including driveways
● Approving the change of use for Legacy Lodge to affordable housing
● Wildlife-friendly fencing
● Advancing the development of affordable housing at Northern South Park
I am also proud of the work we accomplished in my time on the board of the Jackson Hole Land Trust:
This includes Save the Block - protecting the open space, historic character, and towering cottonwoods in downtown Jackson. Otherwise, this downtown space would have become an 80,000 sq. ft. luxury hotel
The Munger Mountain Conservation Easement in cooperation with Teton County and the State Lands Investment Board. This transitional zone offers habitat for a diversity of native wildlife species, including an important migratory corridor for elk, a birthing ground in the spring, and crucial habitat for moose. It was slated for development as a luxury glamping resort.
I am running as an Independent because I want to focus on the community, not politics. I have lived in this community for 20 years; I raised my family here, and I want to give back. I am ready to work for the people of Teton County.
