Vote for the Hospital & Conservation District, No on Prop 1

We are in the final days of the 2026 General Election. Early voting continues through Monday, November 2, at the County Building (200 S. Willow Street, Jackson, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays), and election day is November 3rd. For election day polling locations, visit https://www.tetoncountywy.gov/268/Elections.

I have been working hard to earn your vote, and I hope you will vote for me for Teton County Commissioner. I also want to bring several important ballot measures to your attention. These ballot measures are just as important as voting for qualified, experienced candidates to lead our community.

Prop 1 (Listed as Proposed Initiative Proposition Number One)

I am voting against Prop 1. This measure would exempt 50% of the value of a primary residence for Wyoming residents.  This is not effective tax reform. While it sounds appealing, the measure would cost Teton County $36,752,619 (Source: Wyoming Taxpayers Association). Our property taxes support our town and county budgets, including our hospital, fire/ems, health and human service organizations, and schools.  While Teton County might be able to offset some of the tax revenue loss, other Wyoming counties would be devastated. Vote Against.

Hospital Mill Levy Increase.

St. John’s Hospital has faced significant funding cuts, from state property taxes to federal cuts. We should support St. John’s.  We are blessed to have such an amazing hospital in our small mountain town.  St. John’s cannot remain viable if it continues to lose $ 10 million to $ 20 million a year primarily from treating uninsured patients.  Vote For.

Teton County Conservation District Tax Continuation.

I am committed to conservation and protecting this amazing ecosystem for generations to come. The Teton County Conservation District is a key resource in protecting our ecosystem. TCD provides programs for water, vegetation, land, GIS/mapping, wildlife, and sustainability. These categories include free programs for the community like well test kits, rangeland monitoring, wildfire risk assessments, and more. This tax funds the majority of TCD’s work. I am voting FOR renewing their funding, and I hope you will too.  Vote to renew their funding.  Vote For.
